HYPERPIGMENTATIONS – FLEXES

WHAT ARE HYPERPIGMENTATIONS AND HOW ARE THEY?

Hyperpigmentation or blemishes are dark areas of the skin resulting from prolonged sun exposure. Flecks can also occur during pregnancy, taking birth control pills or a hormonal disorder. Flecks usually appear on the face in the forehead, nose, cheeks, earrings, and on the body of the neckline, fists and shoulders. The first signs of skin aging are spots (photoaging), which is why you should avoid overexposure to the sun and protect yourself adequately. The spots may be clearly fringed (sun spots) or spilled (melasma). Spilled stains (melasmas) give an uneven color to the skin and the complexion looks tinted.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR SKIN AND REDUCE HYPERPIGMENTATION?

The skin should be protected from the sun during the whole year, especially in the summer and after treatment. Adequate protection reduces the possibility of new stains, as well as enhancing existing ones. Ideal protection against harmful sun rays with antioxidant serums and creams with high protection factor (minimum 30 spf). DermaVille’s expert staff will determine an adequate antioxidant serum based on skin type and condition. Antioxidant serums and creams with a protective factor should be used throughout the year, not just during the summer. In this case, the skin is 100 percent protected from harmful sun rays and can be regenerated. By applying adequate protection, we achieve better and longer-term treatment effects.
